How our online courses work

Everything you need to know before you enroll: accounts, the course player, interactive exercises, quizzes, certificates, and where to get help.

Getting started

From enrollment to certificate

1

Create your account

Register once with your name as it should appear on certificates and, if you are an attorney, your licensed states and bar numbers.

2

Enroll

Free courses enroll instantly. Paid courses use secure Stripe checkout; your card details never touch our site.

3

Learn at your pace

The course player keeps every section, lesson, and quiz in a sidebar with checkmarks and a progress bar. Pick up where you left off on any device.

4

Earn the certificate

Pass the final exam at 80 percent and your certificate of completion, with a unique verification ID, is ready in My Courses.

Inside a lesson

What a lesson looks like

Narrated video and full text

Each lesson opens with a narrated video. The complete lesson text, with figures and callouts, sits below it so you can read, search, and return to it later.

Interactive exercises

Build a prompt element by element, flag the flawed segments in an AI-written passage, sort tasks by risk, or work through a branching scenario and see where each decision leads.

Verification codes

Some lessons announce a verification code in the video. Enter it to mark the lesson complete. This supports CLE attendance verification where a bar requires it.

Assessments

Quizzes and the final exam

Every section ends with a quiz of six to ten questions. The final exam covers every section with 18 to 25 scenario-based questions. The passing score is 80 percent, you may retake quizzes, and every question comes with an explanation so you learn from a miss.

Our 80 percent passing standard is an internal completion standard. It is separate from any CLE accreditation requirement.

Materials

What you keep

Student handbook

The complete lesson text, figures, printable exercises with answer keys, glossary, and sources, as a PDF you can keep.

Quick reference card

A one-page card with the procedure or decision rule from the course, for your desk.

Prompt and checklist libraries

Where a course teaches prompts or workflows, you get the library as copy-ready text with a verification note on each.
